George W. Bush (Toypresidents)
The George W. Bush celebrity doll depicts him as the 43rd President of the United States. The talking action figure was made by Toypresidents, Inc. in 2003.
The talking action figure plays 25 different speech segments and phrases in George W. Bush’s voice through a front belly speaker when you press on the lapel. It includes such phrases as “Either you are for us or you are against us,” “Glad to be in the midst of patriots,” and “”I’m gonna head to Crawford after tonight.” Each push of the button plays one speech segment and they repeat in a fixed order. When you remove the batteries and put them back in, it always begins in the same place, otherwise it just starts where it left off. You can tell your batteries are going because it will tend to keep skipping to the first segment.
This is a recording of the entire track played through the belly speaker.
The George W. Bush Toypresidents talking action figure comes wearing a contemporary navy blue lined men’s suit with a real 1/6 scale flag tie pin (it has a screw off back) on the jacket lapel. The matching navy suit pants include real pockets with back pocket flap and snap fly opening. Underneath is a white cotton dress shirt with tiny white button snap closure, gold plastic cuff links on the snapped cuffs, and elastic at the crotch to keep the shirt tucked. It is adorned by a real bright red silk tie. Underneath the suit pants are flag design cotton boxer shorts, black socks, and black plastic cowboy boots with white line decorations and an embossed colored presidential seal on the front of each boot. The boots are what finally sold the museum on including this second George W. Bush doll in the collection.
The action figure is fully articulated. It bends at the ankles, knees, wrists, and elbows. Hips and shoulders move in every direction, waist twists, and head swivels side to side and slightly up and down. Head nods up and down and twists on the ball type joint. A three LR44 battery compartment is on the back with a stamped Toypresidents . On the front chest is the play button lined up where the lapel sits and holes for the speaker.
Accessories include an official Toypresidents biographical brochure called The Road to the George W. Bush Presidency, The 43rd President and a black plastic doll stand.
The Celebrity Doll Museum also has the George W. Bush Elite Force Aviator/Mission Accomplished doll as well as the Toypresidents George H. W. Bush and the Laura Bush dolls.

There is a compartment on the back of the doll. Do not undo the tie, you will be sorry. Just loosen it to take off the shirt. The tie is tied like a regular tie.
I have had a 100% success rate changing the batteries from ToyPresident dolls and getting the sound to work, even removing leaking and corroded batteries from them.
Any Toypresidents doll that still talks can’t be ‘never removed from box’.The batteries don’t last 15 plus years. If you are going to store them long term, I suggest taking the batteries out. They have a 5-7 year shelf life in the best conditions.
