Daniel Radcliffe
The Daniel Radcliffe celebrity doll depicts him as eleven year old Harry Potter from the first movie Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s/Sorcerer’s Stone released in 2001. The doll was made by Mattel in 2001 for the movie release and was sold along with a Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) doll. This Harry Potter doll was part of the Wizard Sweets set and came with a chocolate scented bracelet and a Chocolate Frogs box to store it.
The museum has other Harry Potter dolls in the collection.
Radcliffe continue in the role for another 10 years and eight Harry Potter movies. Additional dolls were release with later movies.
The Daniel Radcliffe celebrity doll is just under 8 inches tall and within 1/6 scale for a small child. The outfit consists of a red mock turtle neck long sleeved sweater and light tan corduroys. The doll comes with rather fragile removable ‘Harry Potter’ glasses with lenses and black removable shoes. No socks. All the clothing can be removed with the Velcro closures. The doll is fully articulated except for the wrists. Head rolls up and down and around; waist twist; and elbows, shoulders, ankles bend.
