The Christie Brinkley celebrity doll depicts her as a model. Matchbox Industries made the doll in 1989 as part of their The Real Model Collection that includes Beverly Johnson, Cheryl Tiegs, and Christie Brinkley. The series is described as “THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRLS IN THE WORLD!”.
From the box:
“Hi, I’m Christie Brinkley
I grew up on the beach in Malibu, California, the only surfer with a fake French accent.
I dreamed of being an artist in France. In order to improve my French, I attended Le Lycee Francais. Then after a year at the University of California, I moved to Paris, where I was ‘discovered’ and decided to give modeling a try.
I love to travel and modeling has taken be around the world to pose for magazine covers, commercials, and TV shows and still leaves me time for everything from making a movie to writing a book and of course, I still love to paint.
But, most of all I love spending time with my beautiful 4 year old daughter, Alexa.
My favorite sports: skiing, sailing, scuba diving, horseback riding, going to baseball games.
Pets: I love my 25 Guinnea hens, 2 horses, and a tank full of tropical fish.”
Brinkley is best known for her three consecutive swimsuit modeling covers for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and her longest running modeling contract with CoverGirl. Her work also includes acting, photography, design (Billy Joel album covers), and writing beauty and fitness books.
Christie Brinkley donated 20% of the profits from the doll to Make A Wish Foundation according to the box.
