The Kate Jackson celebrity doll portrays her as the character Sabrina Duncan in the television show Charlie’s Angels. The show ran from 1976-1981 and Jackson played Sabrina until 1979.

This Kate Jackson doll by made by Hasbro in 1977 and is the smaller 9 inch version.  It  is from the “Charlie’s Angels gift set –  The Captivating Trio of America’s Most Glamorous Private Eyes ”  It comes with Jill Munroe (Farrah Fawcett-Majors),  Sabrina Duncan (Kate Jackson),  and  Kelly Garrett (Jaclyn Smith). A  Kris Munroe (Cheryl Ladd) doll was also made in this size by Hasbro.

Mego also made an 12 inch version of the Charlie’s Angels characters as dolls in 1997.  The dolls  have issues with a chemical reactions over time leading to  the vinyl arms and legs melting against the hard plastic torso and the brass wire that make the legs causing blueish green spots on the ankles.  The museum opted for the less expensive, but less toxic 9 inch Hasbro versions of Charlie’s Angels.

The Kate Jackson doll comes wearing a one piece stretchy red jumpsuit, a blue neck scarf, and navy boots-nothing fancy and no accessories.  This set of dolls have rather unique jointing at the waist-they twist, turn, and bend side to side about thirty degrees.  The knees bend, but the arms are stiff and move only forwards and backwards at the shoulders.  The head moves side to side.

  1. Hi, A few clarifications for this page: Mego made both a 12″ Farrah Fawcett doll and a Jaclyn Smith doll, who played 2 of the Charlie’s Angels characters, in 1977, not 1997. They, along with the Mego Cher and Toni Tenille celebrity dolls produced in the same era, had the melting issues at their joints. Mattel made the 11 1/2″ Kate Jackson and Cheryl Ladd dolls, who played 2 other Charlie’s Angels characters, also in 1977. These dolls did not suffer from any melting at their joints.

  2. I have the Mattel Kate Jackson doll. I’ll check to see if I still have her original outfit. Would you be interested in photos of her?
