The George Washington celebrity doll depicts him as the 1st President of the United States.  The talking action figure was made by Toypresidents, Inc. in 2003.

 

The George Washington action figure is dressed in a complete 1:6 scale period outfit. It includes a black velvet coat with black brocade trim and tiny black buttons, matching long black velvet vest with same brocade trim and buttons and a black ribbon tie in the back, pants are black velvet knickerbockers with brocade at waist and below knee bottoms and three tiny black decorative buttons on each side. The pants have a snap enclosure opening on both sides of the waist. The white cotton shirt is extra long with lace cuffs and a silk lace collar/scarf and one tiny white button on the chest.

On the feet are are old fashion black plastic long bucked pointy shoes over above the knee socks that tuck under the knickerbockers and bottom of the boxers.  Toypresidents comes through with a special Washington pair of white cotton boxers with a printed green dollar sign design.

All the clothes are removable.

The doll has white/gray molded hair with a braided pony tail with a molded black plastic bow going down the back .

The talking action figure plays 25 different speech segments and phrases in an actor’s voice through a front speaker when you press on the lapel. Examples are

‘The best of our political systems is the right of the people to make and to alter their constitutions of government.’

‘If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led like sheep to the slaughter’

‘Worry is the interest paid by those who have borrowed trouble.’

The doll is fully articulated at the neck wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, waist, hips, knees, and ankles.  Head goes side to side and tilts.  Waist twists with a little bend up and down.  Shoulders and hips rotate 360 degrees.  A three LR44 battery compartment is on the back with a stamped Toypresidents .  On the front chest is the play button lined up where the lapel sits and holes for the speaker.

Accessories include an official Toypresidents biographical brochure called The Road to the George Washington Presidency, The 1st President and a black plastic doll stand.
