Dick Van Dyke
The Dick Van Dyke celebrity doll portrays him as the chimney sweep Bert from the 1964 Mary Poppins movie. Van Dyke’s career covers seven decades and includes radio, Broadway, television, music, and film. He is a comedian, actor, singer, dancer, and author. Mattel made this Pink Label Barbie doll in 2007. They also made Pink Label Carousel editions dolls of Mary Poppins, Jane, and Michael. The Bert doll was designed by Sharon Zuckerman.
In addition to his 1964 role as Bert in Mary Poppins, Van Dyke also played the role of banker, Mr. Dawes, Sr.. in heavy makeup to age him. In 2018 he returned to film in a cameo role as Mr. Dawes, Jr. in Mary Poppins Returns.

The doll comes wearing a striped jacket with vents and tiny plastic buttons. It has one snap closure in the front. and is adorned with a blue satin bow tie with elastic around the inside of the shirt collar.
Under the jacket is a white long sleeved cuffed shirt with one tiny button closed with snaps underneath and attached under the pants with an elastic between the legs.
Extras include blue socks, white plastic loafers, white gloves, plastic straw hat that comes off if you snip the plastic attachment. Tan pants are snapped at the waist with the opening in the back
All the clothes come off. Some single stitches holding the jacket in place for display purposes. No underwear.
Accessories include a plastic cane, plastic doll stand, and Mattel certificate of authenticity. The box has the doll positioned on a cardboard carousel horse for display.
Articulation is limited with stiff ankles, arms, and wrists. The knees bend. Waist, hips, and shoulder joints twist and rotate. The neck goes back and forth but not up and down.
