Nicole Bobek
The Nicole Bobek celebrity doll depict her as herself, an American figure skater. Bobek was known for her signature skating move, a version of the spiral. She had early success in U.S. skating, but missed out on Olympic success by coming in 17th at the 1998 Nagano Olympics due to injury.
The doll was manufactured by Playmates in 1998 in a series called “Stars On Ice” to go with a Target sponsored figure skating tour featuring Kristi Yamaguchi, Katia Gordeeva, Nicole Bobek, and Katarina Witt. The four dolls in the series all came in identical boxes. There are two versions of the dolls, one in red and black practice outfits and one in their performance costumes.
The Nicole Bobek doll is in a blue backless performance skating outfit with mini pearl buttons, glittery translucent white tights, blue and gold ribbon in the hair and white skates.
The doll bends at the knees rotates at the neck, shoulders, and hips. Accessories include a signature doll stand and ice skates.
