The Ekaterina “Katia”  Gordeeva celebrity doll depicts her as herself, a Russian (former Soviet) pairs skater.  She was the 1988 Calgary and 1994 Lillehammer Olympic Champion together with her late partner and husband Sergei Grinkov.

This doll was made by Playmates , 1997  and distributed by Dayton Hudson Corporation (DHC) exclusively through Target stores.  Another version of a Katia doll was distributed in a 1998 series call “Stars on Ice”.

The Katia Gordeeva doll is dressed in a long sleeve green felt like skating costume trimmed with plaid material and cloth red buttons.  The  doll wears white skates with no tights and bends at the knees and moves at the neck, shoulders, and hips.
