Mary-Kate Olsen
The Mary-Kate Olsen celebrity doll portrays her as herself. The doll was made by Mattel in 1999 as part of a two box set with her twin Ashley.
Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen have been actresses and film stars since they both began playing the character Michelle Tanner on the television sitcom Full House in 1987 as infants. The show ran until 1995 on ABC. Since then they have made films, books, and television shows under their franchise.
The 1999 version was made when they were 13. Addition versions were released through 2005 to correspond with their movies like New York Minute and When in Rome. Many outfits and playsets were also sold separately. The Olsen dolls were designed for play and the knees bend, waist twists and bends, shoulder sockets move 360 degrees but arms don’t bend, and the head tilts and turns.
The Mary-Kate doll came wearing a casual red striped shirt, khaki capri pants, and red sneakers carrying a red shoulder purse. Included are two additional outfits of a riding kit, and shorty purple pajamas. The accessories include a riding hat, soda bottle, cell phone, and blue sunglasses.
