Kate McKinnon celebrity doll portrays her at 38 years old in the role of Weird Barbie in the July 2023 Warner Bros. Pictures  comedy film Barbie The Movie, directed by Greta Gerwig.  The Weird Barbie doll was sold by Mattel as made-to-order on August 4, 2023 and shipped on May 13, 2024.  The doll was designed by Javier Meabe and retailed for $50.00. McKinnon is best known from her decade on Saturday Night LIve (2012-2022) as a comedian, impressionist, and writer.  Through out the years she has acted in a number of comedy films and streaming television series.  Her first post SNL project was the blockbuster Barbie The Movie.

The Kate McKinnon Weird Barbie doll comes wearing bright pink baby doll dress with puffed sleeves and an empire waist.  The dress is nylon type material with a multi-colored pattern down the left side.  Under the dress is a yellow orange tulle slip that hangs below the length of the dress. The opening in the back has three plastic white snaps. The bottom snap is tack stitched shut and needs to be clipped to remove the dress.

One the legs are a pair of hot pink tights and yellow and black faux leather boots.

The face is painted with gray eyes and pink lips. A black circle is drawn around the right eye and scribble are painted a the forehead and a green smudge on the right cheek.  The white blond hair is wild and fully styled with pink and blue streaks. 

The doll has the Mattel Barbie made to move body with articulation at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles. The torso is fixed.  The doll is able to do the Weird Barbie splits and the doll is posed in the box with the right leg going up to match Weird Barbie’s signature resting pose.

Included in the box is a hot pink plastic doll stand with with a clear pole along with an official Mattel Certificate of Authenticity.
