FLASH
SUPERGIRLBarbie® doll radiates with the power and strength of heronine, Kara Zor-El. Arriving on Earth in search of a missing Kryptonian, Kara Zor-El is imprisoned and drained of her power, prompting a rescue mission to free her so she can become the hero the world needs: Supergirl.
Supergirl Barbie® is ready for heroics with her iconic red and blue suit featuring the legendary S-shield boldly displayed on her chest, and her flowing red cape that drapes her shoulders.
HKG13
Doll comes wearing a stretch red and blue Supergirl body suit costume with a red cape. On the chest is a plastic S Supergirl shield logo decal.
The one piece body suit costume includes blue material extensions that continue on to the hands between the thumb and the rest of the fingers and cover the feet like tights. The red lined (with same material) cape is soft and very flowing and is attached to the back at the collar and shoulders of the bodysuit. Blue on blue designs are incorporated in to the costume at the knees, waist, crotch, and lower arms. Underneath the cape is a label. The body suit is not removable without ripping the seam out in the back. No shoes, no accessories except the stand.
The suit is tack stitched from the waist up to the center of the collar under the cape and the right side of the cape is tack stitched at the doll’s back right suit shoulder seam, so by removing those red tacking stitches the back opens and you can remove the outfit with the left side of the cape sewn tight to the left shoulder. The hands are removable (warm them) to facilitate taking the suit arms off over the fingers. You could easily hand stitch the outfit back together if you want to put it back on. Mattel did not stamp the doll’s back with the HKG13 model number. It does have the doll body stamp dated 2016 for the Female Hero body.
The brunette hair parted in the middle with a just below the chin blunt cut. The museum’s version of the doll had a large amount of product to keep the hair in place. The eyes are painted brown with dark pink lips.
Articulation is the standard Mattel super hero body with movement in the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrist, hips, and knees. Ankles and torso are fixed. Hands are removable but make sure they are warm first.
Accessories are just the doll stand and the Certificate of Authenticity. The black based doll stand has an clear plastic post so you can raise the doll’s about the base when you raise the adjustable waist grabbing piece.
