Gilda Radner
The Gilda Radner celebrity doll depicts her as Roseanne Roseannadanna and was made by Creation Entertainment in 2000. The doll is titled “25 Years Saturday Night Live / SNL Gilda Radner as Roseanne Roseannadanna.” The character appearred on the Weekend Update segment of Saturday Night Live.
Sadly, Radner died of ovarian cancer at the age of 42 in 1989.
The doll is full articulated except for the neck which only goes back and forth. The outfit is a blue pin stiped skirt suit over a leopard print sleeveless blouse. Attached to the lapel of the jacket is a Weekend Update pin. The doll has black pumps and pink satin underwear.
Wow. Could they have captured a more obnoxious facial expression from Mrs. Radner? She seemed like such a funny and gracious person and this doll makes her look like a vampire. I am familiar with the SNL character and why she is making the face, but maybe a LIsa Loopner doll would have been better.. “Toddddd!”
I would like to purchase a Roseanne Roseannadanna doll. Do you know where I may be able to find one?
Thanks in advance.
