The Alex Morgan celebrity doll portrays her as herself, an American professional women’s soccer player at around 30 years of age. Morgan has won multiple Olympic gold medals and has been co-captain of the US women’s national team.  The Black Label Barbie doll was released by Mattel on July 26, 2020 as part of their ‘Shero’ collection.  The doll was designed by Carlyle Nuera.

Alex Morgan Barbie® doll is fully posable.

The Alex Morgan comes wearing her USA red, white, and blue soccer uniform Morgan 13 numbered jersey with matching shorts.  Above the knee cotton soccer socks with white plastic molded shin guards and red cleat soccer shoes.  The long brown rooted hair is tied back in a pony tail and a pick elastic head band is around the hair line.  The face is painted with gray blue eyes brown eye brows and pink lips around a toothy smile.  All the clothing is removable. The jersey has Velco openings at the back shoulders and the short have an elastic waist.

The doll is articulated in almost every way. The head tilts and twists. The shoulders turn 360 and there is another joint above the biceps that twists the lower arm. The elbows bend 90 degrees and the wrists twist all the way around and bend 180 degrees. The upper torso bends forward and backwards under the breasts and slightly twists.  The waist is solid. The hips rotate and have an extra joint at the upper thigh that can twist the lower leg all the way around.  The knees bend almost a complete 180 degrees which enables many interesting soccer poses.  The ankles twist all the way around and bend a little over 90 degrees enable the foot to go flat or pointed. 

All in all this Alex Morgan Barbie gets high marks in play-ability.

The doll comes with a black and white hard plastic soccer ball and a standard Mattel plastic black based stand with clear post.  An official Certificate of Authenticity is also included.
