THE HUNGER GAMES:
CATCHING FIREPEETA
THE HUNGER GAMES:CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour†of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capital is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.
The Hunger Games Peeta doll wears a bodysuit with knee and elbow pads, inspired by the costume from in the film.
The Peeta doll wears a one piece stretch bodysuit with sewn on decorative plastic elbow protectors and removable knee pad bands. The suit is sewn on but can be removed by cutting 4-5 tacking stitches down from the back collar at the seam and cutting the stitch holding the neck medallion in place. It then slides off. Black plastic slit in the back boots are removable and the knee pads easily slide off. The medallion necklace string would have to be untied to get off for it is too small to pull over the head without really messing up the hair. You could probably also remove the head. No socks or underwear.
The doll is articulated at the ankles, knees, hip, shoulders, elbows, wrist and neck. The joints are ball type joints so the doll appendages will move in almost any direction. Does the splits in either direction. The doll easily stands on it own with or without the boots.
The blond rooted hair is short and pushed back from the forehead hairline and held in place with a stiffening hair product. The painted eyes are brown with a rather smoky look to them.
A Mattel Certificate of Authenticity and clear plastic stand with a black base are included.
