In 1998 Mattel began a line of collector Lucy dolls fashioned after well known episodes of the show. Leading up to the 50th anniversary of the show in 2001 and for another decade, Mattel produced at least 15 different Lucy dolls in the Mattel collection and two are in sets with Ethel Mertz (Vivian Vance) and eventually the anniversary edition with Ricky Ricardo (Desi Arnaz).
